“Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion”
-Muhammad Ali
This was the quote that kept resonating in my head whenever I stared at the piles of reviewers on top of my bed, and especially whenever I get lazy during the time I allocate to review. I know many can testify for me when I say that surviving MedTech as a course during these past few years is NO joke, let alone, taking a 600 point test that will ultimately summarize those 4 years (or more) of lessons you had in college. Just thinking of the Board Exams during that time always made me feel pressured, stressed and nervous. I really didn’t know where to start.
That is why it was such a blessing that I was able to review with ACTS. ACTS has been a major catalyst in the review process by providing mentorship that allowed me to focus on the concepts and topics which were most likely to be included in the upcoming exam. Because of this, a certain confidence, which may have been difficult to find anywhere else, has been instilled in me. The holistic mentorship given by ACTS was priceless because it has transcended the academic aspect of our experience; by facilitating mental, spiritual, emotional and personal growth. ACTS has prepared me to thrive and embrace the whole experience with an open heart amidst the stress and pressure during the review period. Every time I felt weak or powerless when I knew I still had so much to study, specifically during the time that the exam was already fast approaching, I always repeated the above quote of Muhammad Ali to myself.
The whole process has been a roller coaster ride but I wouldn’t change a single moment. Up to this point in time you are reading this, I can tell you that words are not enough to express how thankful I am to have passed the board exams, and to place 3rd nationally was a bonus! Honestly, It still feels surreal until now and I will always be humbled in awe at how God works in the most mysterious ways. To the soon-to-be RMT reading this, “Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a Champion.” May this quote, that will forever inspire me, be a guide to you as well in your road to success. Congratulations in advance. Congratulations and Thank you also to the ACTS family for making all of this possible.
