Top 5 August 2016 Medical Technology Licensure Examination
“The road to being a Registered Medical Technologist is never an easy one. It starts with the four years we spend in our respective colleges to master the principles behind the various laboratory examinations and in the Internship program where we apply all that we have learned. But it doesn’t end there. The review period is also a crucial part because we cannot rely on our knowledge alone. The review period is also a test of character because though we are one with our fellow Medical technology graduates in this journey, we cannot deny that this is also a personal challenge.
In ACTS Review Center, we were molded holistically. We were equipped not only with the knowledge needed to answer the board exam but we were also taught that the right attitude, discipline and faith will carry us to greater heights. I am grateful for the wonderful mentors who were not only inspirational but were also efficient in making it easier for us to remember the things we have learned because after all, that is the essence of a review center. Numerous exams were given and they were really helpful because for me, “exam-taking” is also a skill that needs practice. But what I like best about ACTS is that they never fail to remind you that all of this is not possible without the Lord. He is the only one who grants us true wisdom, courage and strength.
My road to being a RMT was filled with obstacles, some peculiar. I wasn’t also exempted by anxiety. But I kept on reminding myself that I was well-prepared by Velez College and ACTS, and that my Lord is bigger than anything else. When the results were out, I cried for joy because it came as a surprise. Yet looking back, I knew that it wasn’t all me because I can’t rely on myself alone. It was a challenging road but I would look back every now and then because through it, I’ve witnessed the greatness of the Lord.
To God be the glory!”
